Crawdads Walk Off with 2-1 Win

The Cut Off Crawdads had to overcome a big game from Kent pitcher Elliot Reid to leave Crawdads Field with a 2-1 victory. Reid threw 9 innings of 3-hit ball. Cut Off reliever Carlos Rosado was the winner. His record is now 2-3. The losing pitcher was António del Pozo. Cut Off is now 36-34.
The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Sergio Valentín came to bat in the bottom of the tenth. Facing Kent pitcher António del Pozo, he hit a 2-2 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Cut Off on top, 2-1.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Valentín said after the game.
