5 Straight Wins for Yinzers
|
The Monroeville Yinzers beat the Belleville Bulls, 5-4, at Belleville Field. The Yinzers got a fine performance from second baseman Luis Pamparacuatro, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3-5 with a triple and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Monroeville reliever Bhunandana Lecamwasam was credited with the win, to go to 6-1. Tom Woods took the loss for Belleville. Picking up the save was Todd Dean, his 13th.
Pamparacuatro had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the fifth inning, when he hit a 2-run triple. The Yinzers went on to win.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Pamparacuatro told the Monroeville Gazette.
Monroeville has now won 5 games in a row.
