Hobeaus Lose Again, 4-1, to Torch
|
Mancelona Torch starter Ki-seop Ch'oe was in fine form against the Smoky Mountain Hobeaus at Smokies Stadium, leading his team to a 4-1 win. Ch'oe got the win, improving to 4-8. He allowed 8 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. Ch'oe allowed 1 earned run. The slumping Hobeaus have dropped 9 in a row.
Mancelona used the bat of Ron Jackson to get the win. The second baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Torch ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"I thought we played a nice game," Jackson told the Mancelona Daily. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
