Jets Get Win, Extend Streak to 5
|
Gregory Jones had a good game, but he could not keep the Laredo Hawks from falling, 10-7, to the Kennesaw Jets at Jets Stadium. The Laredo second baseman went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once in the loss. Ron Lloyd finished to wrap up his 17th save. The 7th-place Jets now have a 5-game winning streak.
Scotty Forrest, who is tied for 5th in the SA in bases on balls with 38, aided the Kennesaw cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the second. For the game, the center fielder went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times.
"The name of the game is scoring runs," Forrest said. "We did a good job of that today."
