Torch Field was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Kent Comets and the Mancelona Torch.

The Kent Comets scored a 4-3 win versus the Mancelona Torch at Torch Field. Kent pitcher Tadao Ishihara nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Kent reliever Tadao Ishihara got the win, raising his record to 2-0. Ikaia Duncalf was tagged with the loss.

It could have been a different outcome for Kent, had it not been for Brian Myers, the 23-year old first baseman . Myers contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the first inning to put Kent up, 1-0.

"We're just going to try to build off this win," said Myers.

Kent is now 47-20, 5½ games up in the Silver A.
