Yinzers Clip Crawdads in Tight Contest

The Yinzers had to overcome a fine performance from Cut Off pitcher Kane Hallworth to grab a 6-4 win at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium. Hallworth allowed 1 earned run over 6.1 innings. Monroeville reliever Aarre Rissanen picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Lewis Goodman absorbed the loss. The save went to Todd Dean, his 11th this season.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, designated hitter Stanley Good came through big-time for the Yinzers. With Monroeville trailing 4-2, he belted a 2-run home run.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Good told the Monroeville Gazette.
Today's win puts Monroeville at 31-35, while Cut Off falls to 34-32.
