|
Washington Generals starter Chaz Thomas was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Mancelona Torch, 8-4. Thomas, now 2-1, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 8, walking 1, and allowing 3 earned runs. Washington is now 28-38, while Mancelona is 28-38.
Washington center fielder Xavier Hutchesson helped the Generals to the win. In the bottom of the second inning, the 23-year old center fielder stroked a 2-run triple. For the game, Hutchesson was 1-3 with a triple and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
