Kennesaw right-hander Stu Washington was sensational in shutting out the Smoky Mountain Hobeaus, 2-0. The Jets go to 28-35, putting them 7th in the Silver A.
Washington gave Kennesaw a solid start. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits over 7 innings.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Kennesaw manager José Vázquez. "Our pregame was pretty good."
