Dirty Reds Knock Off Mockingbirds at Lang Park
San Mateo played host to Mississippi at the friendly confines of Lang Park.

San Mateo Dirty Reds starter Sylvain Richard turned in an exceptional performance against the Mississippi Mockingbirds at Lang Park, resulting in a San Mateo win, 5-2. Justin Frederick closed the game out for San Mateo, earning his 1st save.

Tied up with the Mockingbirds in the bottom of the fifth inning, the Dirty Reds got a boost from third baseman Kawenaula Alohalani. With a runner on 1st, Alohalani saw a 1-0 fastball from Fernando Lujino and hit a run-scoring triple to break the stalemate and put San Mateo on top, 1-0.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Alohalani. "And not try to do too much."

The Dirty Reds, now 4-1, have stormed out of the gates.
