Buckhead right-hander Brenton Jenkins made an effective start against the Kingston Township Knights at Cloverdale Legion Park, leading his team to a 2-0 win. The save was credited to Anthony Hurst, his 1st. The win pushes Buckhead to a record of 3-2.

Buckhead used the timely hitting of Jesús Encarnación to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Bowties ahead, 2-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Encarnación said after the game.
