Rainbow Mermaids Stumble, Lose to Shredders
|
The Hollywood Shredders defeated the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids, 8-2, at The Hollywood Bowl. Takeshi Kovacs was named player of the game for Hollywood. His 3 hits included 1 single and 2 doubles, in addition to the 1 run he scored and 4 he knocked in. The Rainbow Mermaids, now 3-9, continue their slow start.
Ji-hyun Yi was a prime factor in the win for the Shredders. In the bottom of the second with two out, the 26-year old second baseman hit a 2-run single. He went 1-4, while adding 2 RBI.
"We looked pretty good up and down," said Hollywood manager Bill Cheese.
