Bulls Get One-Run Win at Mancelona
|
Belleville rode a good effort from starter Ronald Reddaway to beat the Mancelona Torch at Torch Field. The final score was 3-2. Reddaway picked up the win for Belleville, going 5 innings. He gave up no runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. François L'Écuyer nailed down his 10th save.
Belleville used the timely hitting of Nick West to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Bulls on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Afterward, Bulls manager Edward Whipp was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
Belleville goes to 18-21, Mancelona to 17-22.
