The Kent Comets got a good effort from starter Janghyun Han in defeating the Mancelona Torch at Fuller Park. The final score was 3-1. Han, now 4-1, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 10, walking 3, and allowing 1 earned run. António del Pozo recorded the save for Kent, his 3rd of the season.

The game hit a turning point in the bottom of the first inning, when the Comets were trailing 1-0. Sherwin Tacod delivered a two-out 2-run home run for Kent, catapulting his team into the lead.

"Not to be Captain Obvious," said Mancelona manager Ezequiel Chosson, "but we need to push more runs across the plate."
