Right-hander José Cruz mesmerized the Washington Generals while leading the Kent Comets to a 5-0 victory. Kent is now 21-8, 4½ games up in the Silver A.

Cruz made it look effortless. He scattered 2 hits over 7 innings, while racking up 12 strikeouts. The Kent right-hander encountered little resistance from the Washington hitters. His season record is now 3-1.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Cruz told the Kent News.
