Laredo right fielder George McLean had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. McLean was 2-3 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI, even as Kent beat the Hawks, 5-4. McLean was named the player of the game despite the loss. Kent leads the Silver A by 2 games.

One important at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the third inning. Facing Laredo hurler Matt Cornett, Sherwin Tacod, who is tied for 5th in the SA in doubles with 7, drew a walk. The Comets went on to win.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Tacod told the Kent News.
