Comets Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Hawks
Laredo pitcher Tadamichi Chikafuji gave the Comets all they could handle, but in the end, Kent left Fuller Park with a 3-2 win. Chikafuji allowed 1 earned run on 3 hits over 5.1 innings. Kent has an impressive 16-7 record.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Kent trailing 2-1, Elliot Reid hit a cutter from De'Coldest Crawford to right-center for a 2-run double. Just like that, the Comets had a walk-off win.

"We squandered some opportunities," said Laredo manager Leonardo Sánchez.
