Torch Slip Past Monroeville, 4-3

Mancelona starter Ikaia Duncalf had a strong outing against the Monroeville Yinzers at Torch Field. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. Mancelona reliever Al Maxwell was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Nate Hall. With the loss, Monroeville drops to 2-5.
Bernard Cornwell was the walk-off hero for Mancelona. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Torch right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Duncalf.
