The Long Island Lighthouse got a superb performance from pitcher Shem Burkholder, but the Baltimore Bullets still won the game, 4-3. Burkholder was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 7 innings of 6-hit ball. The 5th-place Bullets have won 4 straight.

The game was at a stalemate until shortstop Orlando Samundio came to bat in the bottom of the 17th. Facing Long Island pitcher Esteban Rodríguez, he hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Baltimore on top, 4-3.

"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," Samundio told the Baltimore Today.
