Lighthouse Stymie Baltimore, Take 6-1 Win
|
Spirited fans at Baltimore Grounds greeted the Baltimore Bullets for their clash with the Long Island Lighthouse.
The Long Island Lighthouse picked up a win at Baltimore Grounds, knocking off the Baltimore Bullets, 6-1. On the mound for Long Island was right-hander Greg Hodge, who played a pivotal role in the win. The Lighthouse raised their record to 7-4.
Long Island relied on the hitting of Mark Toope to pick up the win. The first baseman ripped a 2-run triple in the top of the second inning to put the Lighthouse on top, 4-0. For the game, Toope had 1 triple and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Hodge said after the game.
