Godfathers Roll to 8-3 Win Over Expos
|
Pontiac pitcher Ed Pearce did his part in helping his team beat the Niagara Falls Expos, 8-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Pearce got the win, improving to 4-1. He allowed 3 hits and walked 3 over 7 innings. Pearce allowed 2 earned runs. The 8th-place Expos have dropped 4 straight games.
Tom Connelly, who is tied for 4th in the 3A in triples with 6, chipped in for Pontiac with a grand slam home run in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 5 RBI.
