Kingston Mangos starter Don Williams kept the Niagara Falls Expos hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 8-2 win. The win puts the Mangos at 37-36, while the Expos drop to 34-39.

Sergio Rivera aided the Kingston cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the center fielder was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.

"I had a good game plan," said Williams. "I made my pitches." His manager concurred. "It was all there," Juan Sánchez said, "the velocity, the sharpness of his pitches."
