The Pontiac Godfathers got a superb performance from pitcher Les Wright, but the Idaho Falls Chukars still won the game, 3-2. Wright was named the player of the game despite the loss. He came in in relief and pitched to 18 batters . Idaho Falls reliever Raúl Ferrer was credited with the win, to go to 3-3. Rich Walker took the loss for Pontiac. Tim Strong closed the game out for Idaho Falls, earning his 3rd save.
Idaho Falls took a 3-2 lead on Matt Fuller's 13th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Pontiac pitcher Rich Walker in the top of the tenth.
"If I do my job, we've usually got a good chance to win the game," said Fuller.
The Chukars improved to 28-44.
