Benson Slugs Storm to 3-2 Win
The Syracuse Storm topped the Pontiac Godfathers, 3-2, with third baseman Kenny Benson playing a big role. Benson belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Storm in the win. The Storm move to 30-36 with the win, while the Godfathers drop to 18-48.

Syracuse took a 3-2 lead on Benson's 5th home run of the season. The solo home run, which he hit off Dave Parkinson in the bottom of the eighth, propelled Syracuse to the win.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Benson said after the game.
