Niagara Falls rode a good effort from starter Richard Williams to beat the Pontiac Godfathers at Pontiac Copperdome. The final score was 4-2. Niagara Falls is now 28-34, while Pontiac is 17-45.
Niagara Falls used the timely hitting of Pat Case to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Expos on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"It was our day today," Case told the Niagara Falls News. "But we've got to keep our nose to the grindstone."
