Expos Get One-Run Win at Pontiac

The Pontiac Godfathers and Niagara Falls Expos provided some drama at Pontiac Copperdome.
The Niagara Falls Expos did just enough to secure a 5-4 victory over the Pontiac Godfathers at Pontiac Copperdome. Nobody did more than pitcher Jim Steel, who captured player of the game honors. Niagara Falls's record now stands at 27-34, placing them 8th in the Menard's A.
Niagara Falls used the timely hitting of George Holmes to capture the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Expos on top, 5-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
"A great game, a great day," said Holmes about the win. "I can't complain."
