Burkholder Fashions Shutout Against Buffalo
|
Shem Burkholder dominated the Buffalo White Walkers with a brilliant 1-hit shutout in a Long Island Lighthouse 9-0 triumph at Beyond the Wall. The Long Island hurler fanned 10 and walked 0 in the game and was singled out for praise afterward by the opposing manager.
"He really kept us in check today," White Walkers skipper Chris Lau said in his postgame comments. "Everything looked to be moving. Seemed like the pitch was right down the middle and it went over down and away. We took some pathetic swings."
