The Yucca Valley Yellows picked up a win at Idaho Falls Park, knocking off the Idaho Falls Chukars, 3-1. Starting pitcher George Crane was an essential part of his team's success. Crane, the winner, moves to 6-5. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 3 walks. Yucca Valley bumps their record to 30-22 with the win.
The result might have been different for Yucca Valley, had it not been for Tim Rowland, the 20-year old third baseman . Rowland stroked a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put Yucca Valley up, 2-0. For the game, he had 1 double and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
