The Olympia Ogres got a superb performance from pitcher Gerardo García, but the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks still won the game, 4-3. García was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 7 innings allowing 1 run. At 25-37, the Thunder Hawks are currently 9th in the Premier AA.
Anton Zdravomyslov was the walk-off hero for Ft. Polk South. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Thunder Hawks right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Zdravomyslov told the Ft. Polk South Herald.
