Yellows Take Nail-Biter Over Godfathers
The Yucca Valley Yellows scored a 1-0 win versus the Pontiac Godfathers at Ballpark of Yucca Valley. Yucca Valley pitcher John Gaudet nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Yucca Valley reliever Harley Hawk picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-0. Rich Walker was collared with the loss. Yucca Valley is now 25-17, while Pontiac is 11-31.

Late in the game, third baseman Tim Rowland had a big at-bat for Yucca Valley. In the bottom of the 13th, he hit a run-scoring single off Rich Walker. The play gave the Yellows a 1-0 lead.

"Our guys just had that look of determination," said winning manager Christian O'Dell.
