The Pontiac Godfathers picked up a win at Ballpark of Yucca Valley, knocking off the Yucca Valley Yellows, 10-3. Starting pitcher Jimmy Wilson was an essential part of his team's success. Wilson, now 2-3, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 8, walking 4, and allowing 2 earned runs. Pontiac, at 11-30, sits in 11th place in the Menard's A.

Pontiac used the timely hitting of Andy Allen to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Godfathers on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Jimmy was throwing strikes, locating well," said Pontiac manager Júlio Villegas.
