White Walkers Drop Another One
|
Getting a good performance from shortstop Juan Lugo, the Boston Patriots defeated the Buffalo White Walkers, 12-3. Lugo went 2-3 with a triple and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Patriots. Brian Duncan was the winner. Over 6.2 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 5 hits, with 1 walk and 4 strikeouts. The first-place Patriots now have a 4-game winning streak.
Lugo had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 3rd in the bottom of the fourth inning, when he hit a sacrifice fly. The Patriots went on to win.
"We're our own worst enemy right now," said Buffalo skipper Chris Lau.
