Thunder Hawks Walk It Off for 19th Win of Season
|
In a low-scoring clash between Ft. Polk South and Chesapeake, pitcher Lucas van Halteren was a difference-maker. The left-hander earned player of the game honors for Ft. Polk South in the 3-1 win. The Thunder Hawks saw their record improve to 19-26.
Ft. Polk South took a 3-1 lead on Dermott Mann's 7th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Chesapeake pitcher Rob Durnford in the bottom of the ninth.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Mann said after the game.
