Shu Slugs Thunder to 14-4 Win
St. Petersburg first baseman Huang-di Shu made his presence felt in the 14-4 Thunder triumph over the Westwood Sixshooters. Shu belted 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. The winner was Roberto Punyed, who threw 97 pitches over 7 innings. The right-hander was charged with 1 run on 2 hits. The Sixshooters, now 17-26, have lost 4 straight.

Shu put St. Petersburg up, 8-0, when he hit a 3-run home run off Doug Ross in the bottom of the sixth. His 5th home run of the season helped the Thunder capture the win.

"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said St. Petersburg manager Emílio Sáenz.
