Losing Streak Continues for Walleye with 3-0 Loss to Yellows
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Yucca Valley Yellows and the Walla Walla Walleye, Ryan Riley was the difference-maker. The Yucca Valley left-hander earned player of the game honors in the 3-0 win. Graviel Azevedo, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 4th save. The losses continue to pile up for Walla Walla, which has now fallen 10 times in a row.
Eric Compton put Yucca Valley in front, 3-0, when he hit a 2-run home run off Juan Hernández in the bottom of the fifth. It was his 7th home run of the season.
Riley told the Yucca Valley Observer: "I don't know which I enjoy more -- being a ballplayer or the perks that come with being a ballplayer."
