The Fighting Imps had to overcome a fine performance from Ft. Polk South pitcher António Morterero to grab a 7-6 win at Imps Park. Morterero allowed no earned runs over 5.2 innings. Ithaca reliever Tian-bai Hou was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Jeremy Bearimy. Ithaca bumps their record to 12-20 with the win.

In the bottom of the ninth, with one out and the game tied, 6-6, center fielder Daryl Pethick won it for Ithaca. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, Pethick hit a 1-0 fastball from Jeremy Bearimy for a run-scoring single, giving his team a 7-6 win.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Pethick said after the game.
