Tight Tilt Goes to Sixshooters, 2-1

Dawson Randolph could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Mercer Island Screaming Eagles lost, dropping a 2-1 decision to the Westwood Sixshooters at Mercer Island Grounds. Westwood reliever Joop Els was credited with the win, to go to 2-0. Dawson Randolph took the loss for Mercer Island. Westwood's record now stands at 12-16, placing them 7th in the Premier AA.
Westwood needed the clutch hitting of Allan Colston to notch the win. The designated hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Sixshooters on top, 2-0. For the game, Colston had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Runs were at a premium," said Westwood manager Juan Gusmán.
