Cangrejos Fantasmas Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Ogres
|
The Cangrejos Fantasmas grabbed a win, 3-0, at The Ogre Den, overcoming a fine effort from Olympia pitcher Tex Owens. Owens went 5.2 innings and allowed no earned runs. Chesapeake reliever Christoffer Langvardt picked up the win, bumping his record to 2-1. Jake Sewell was collared with the loss. Chesapeake is 17-7 and Olympia, with the loss, 11-13.
Chesapeake needed the clutch hitting of Adam Lee to notch the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Cangrejos Fantasmas on top, 3-0. For the game, Lee had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Lee.
