Chesapeake pitcher Paul Wolfe gave the Thunder Hawks all they could handle, but in the end, Ft. Polk South left Ghost Crab Park with a 5-3 win. Wolfe allowed 1 earned run on 5 hits over 7 innings. Ft. Polk South reliever Scott Richardson picked up the win, bumping his record to 2-2. Vasquo Lousada was collared with the loss. Ft. Polk South, now 8-13, holds 8th place in the Premier AA.

Ft. Polk South used the timely hitting of Dermott Mann to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a run-scoring double in the top of the 11th inning to put the Thunder Hawks ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was an important one.

"It was terrific getting this win," Mann said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
