Chesapeake Wins 5-4 to Continue Red Hot Start
|
A 4-RBI performance from right fielder Ken Jackson, who is tied for 3rd in the PAA in home runs with 6, led the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas to a 5-4 win over the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks. Chesapeake reliever Christoffer Langvardt was the winner. His record is now 1-1. Kwang-sik Kang took the loss. Chesapeake, now 15-5, is setting the league on fire so far.
Jackson contributed a big hit, a 2-run double, for Chesapeake in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 3-2, Jackson took a fastball from Kwang-sik Kang and stroked the double to right. His 5th double of the season allowed the Cangrejos Fantasmas to leap in front, 4-3.
"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" Jackson told the Chesapeake News. "You win just by scoring more runs."
