Hot Start Continues for BC

The Put-In-Bay BC got a stellar performance from pitcher José Díaz, who handcuffed the Kingston offense en route to a 5-2 win at Put-In-Bay Ballpark. Díaz picked up the win for Put-In-Bay, going 5 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. It was the 14th win in 17 games this year for the defending champion BC, who are picking up where they left off.
The BC got a lift from third baseman Zach Stafford who had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fifth inning off Vicente Castro. It was his 12th RBI of the season and put Put-In-Bay in front, 3-2.
"We did a lot of things right," said Díaz.
