Sixshooters Knock Off Ogres at The Ogre Den
|
Luis Benítez helped his team muscle past the Olympia Ogres, 6-4. In the game, the Westwood first baseman was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The loss drops Olympia to 2-6.
Westwood used the bat of Edmond Hallewell to get the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Sixshooters ahead, 6-4. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Hallewell told the Westwood News. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
