Pilgrims Sneak Past Eclipse, 2-1

The Providence Pilgrims got a magnificent performance from pitcher Edward Martin, who muffled the Northville offense en route to a tight 2-1 Pilgrims win at Old-Timers Park. Bernard Hewer picked up the save for Providence, his 2nd of the year. With the win, Providence pushes its record to 4-4.
Providence used the clutch hitting of An-yi Zhou to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to give the Pilgrims the lead, 2-1. For the game, Zhou had 2 singles and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
Martin told the Providence News: "Don't care what other people think. Edward knows who Edward is."
