Godfathers Squelch Yellows Offense in Shutout Win
It was a fun time at Pontiac Copperdome, where the Yucca Valley Yellows and Pontiac Godfathers tangled.

Yucca Valley pitcher Steve Walden gave the Godfathers all they could handle, but in the end, Pontiac left Pontiac Copperdome with a 3-0 win. Walden allowed 3 earned runs on 6 hits over 7.1 innings. Rich Walker recorded the save for Pontiac, his 2nd of the season.

Pat Peterson contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the third. With a runner on 1st, he hit a single. It was one at-bat that propelled Pontiac to the win.

"Feels good to get the job done," Peterson said after the game.

The Yellows, now 11-5, have been pitiful so far.
