The Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas picked up a win at Ghost Crab Park, knocking off the Northville Eclipse, 4-1. On the mound for Chesapeake was left-hander Carlos Semprún, who played a pivotal role in the win. Semprún, the winner, moves to 1-0. He threw 6 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 3 walks. The Cangrejos Fantasmas, now 5-0, have been on a roll in the early going.
The Cangrejos Fantasmas grabbed the lead in the bottom of the third. With one out, Adam Lee hit a 3-run home run off Vasile Alexandrescu, putting Chesapeake in front, 4-0. For Lee, it was his 3rd home run of the season.
"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Semprún.
