6-4 Atoms Win over Ghosts Evens Season Record
|
With center fielder Rubén Nuañez leading the charge, the Bethesda Atoms defeated the Casper Ghosts, 6-4, at Atoms Field. Nuañez, who is rated as the 8th best prospect by BNN, hit 2 home runs. Bethesda is 5th in the Silver AA with a record of 47-47.
Lachlan Thurgood, not known for his power, had a big at-bat with two out in the bottom of the sixth. That's when he connected on a cutter from Danny Byrd for a 3-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season put Bethesda in front, 5-2.
"We need to keep playing good baseball," Nuañez told the Bethesda Daily News.
