Bullets Get 8-5 Win Versus Hollywood
|
Hollywood got a terrific performance from right fielder Gilberto Ocasio, but it wasn't enough to beat the Baltimore Bullets. Baltimore won the Baltimore Grounds contest, 8-5. Ocasio was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Javier Ariza earned the win for Baltimore. He lasted 5 innings, allowing 3 earned runs on 6 hits, while striking out 7. With the win, he raised his record to 5-3. Joo-hyun Pak earned the save for Baltimore, his 18th.
In the bottom of the first, Richard Jost hit a 3-run home run for Baltimore. The 10th home run of the season for the Baltimore second baseman put the Bullets on top, 3-0.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Jost.
Baltimore is now 42-47, Hollywood 56-33.
