Pierogis Bang Out 6-2 Win Versus Tacoma
The Squirrel Hill Pierogis defeated the Tacoma Fur Traders, 6-2, in USSL Double A action at Ballpark of Tacoma, with Squirrel Hill pitcher Mutu Kirra named player of the game. The Pierogis, at 33-43, sit in 9th place in the Silver AA.

Squirrel Hill used the timely hitting of John Clay to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Pierogis on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I just love going out and having a big game," Kirra said when asked about being named player of the game. "It's an honor to have your talents recognized."
