Hodge Excels in Bethesda Win
The Bethesda Atoms defeated the Casper Ghosts, 8-6, at The Graveyard today. Leading the charge for Bethesda was first baseman Steve Hodge. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice. José Salazar earned the save for Bethesda, his 5th of the year. With the win, the Atoms improved to 39-36.

The most crucial at-bat for Bethesda came in the top of the ninth inning. That's when Hodge stroked a first pitch fastball to right-center for a 3-run home run, putting Bethesda up, 8-6.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Hodge told the Bethesda Daily News.
