Squirrel Hill right fielder Rashid Jeltkov was instrumental in his team's 9-3 win over the Ottawa Nationals. Jeltkov went 2-4 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Pierogis. Artie O'Neal locked down his 1st save.

In the top of the first, Jeltkov pounced on a 2-2 slider from Motka Vidyasov and hit a 3-run home run. It put Squirrel Hill on top, 3-0.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Randy Stevens said.
