Fur Traders Win at Gulf Coast, 3-0
|
Tacoma Fur Traders starter José Espinosa turned in a top-notch performance against the Gulf Coast Turbeaus at Mobile Home Park. The result was a win for the Fur Traders, 3-0. Luke Fitzgerald was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 15 of 16 save opportunities. Tacoma, now 33-40, holds 8th place in the Silver AA.
Tacoma used the timely hitting of Ramón García to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the fourth inning to put the Fur Traders on top, 3-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Not too many highlights on our side," said losing manager Chua-kah Liu.
